Day 15 — Be Still and Lead from Rest
Scripture (Douay-Rheims):
“Be still and see that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Reflection
Stillness is rare in modern leadership. Notifications never stop. Emails multiply. Meetings fill calendars. Silence feels unproductive. Yet God commands stillness — not as escape, but as encounter.
Stillness reminds leaders that they are not the source of success. God is.
When you slow down, you see more clearly. You notice fatigue in your team. You recognize misalignment in strategy. You sense God’s gentle redirection. Stillness sharpens discernment.
Leaders who never rest eventually lead from depletion. Exhaustion distorts judgment. Irritability damages relationships. Burnout weakens vision. But leaders who practice stillness lead from abundance.
Rest is not laziness. It is obedience. It acknowledges human limits and divine sufficiency. It declares, “I trust God to work even when I pause.”
Internal calm produces external stability. Teams follow leaders who are centered. They thrive under leaders who are emotionally regulated. They feel safe when leaders are spiritually anchored.
Stillness creates space for God to speak, heal, and renew.
Today, ask yourself: When was the last time I truly rested in God’s presence?
