Day 9 — Committing the Outcome to God

Scripture (Douay-Rheims):
“Commit thy way to the Lord, and trust in him, and he will do it.” — Psalm 37:5

Reflection

Many leaders are willing to pray about decisions — but fewer are willing to release the results. We seek God’s guidance, then secretly cling to preferred outcomes. We ask for wisdom, but still try to manage every variable.

True trust includes surrendering control of results.

To commit your way to the Lord means placing both process and outcome in His hands. It means saying, “God, I will obey You — even if it costs me. I will follow You — even if I do not understand. I will trust You — even if the results differ from my expectations.”

This posture frees the heart from constant anxiety. When outcomes belong to God, failure loses its power. Success loses its arrogance. Both become opportunities for growth and gratitude.

Surrendered leaders can take courageous risks because their security is not tied to performance. They can pivot without shame. They can endure losses without losing hope. They can celebrate wins without pride.

In workplace culture, this mindset creates resilience. Teams learn that mistakes are not disasters. Change is not betrayal. Challenges are not threats. Everything becomes part of God’s refining work.

Committing your way also means trusting God with timing. Some breakthroughs arrive quickly. Others unfold slowly. But none are wasted in His hands.

Today, God invites you to release what you have been carrying alone.

Reflection Question

What outcome am I trying to control instead of entrusting fully to God, and what would it look like to release it today?
